Cardamom Tea

cardamom tea

They say a lot can happen over a cup of coffee… Maybe, but for us Indians, a lot happens over a cup of tea! Be it chai biscuit as a kid, cutting chai at a tapri in college, or mid day office chai, every Indian can identify with this drink. There is something about every sip of hot, fragrant tea that soothes you. Elaaichiwali chai or tea spiced with cardamom is one of my favorite tea to make and have. I have a bunch of friends here in the USA who, for lack of better words, are chai addicts! Be it 8 am or 11 pm, no one will say no to a cup of cardamom tea during a get together. I have had friends stop by at my place just to ask me to make them a cup! Hope you enjoy this recipe as much as they all do!
