Cheese Bread Rolls

Cheese bread rolls are a quick and easy recipe. It is a perfect tea-time snack. Bread is stuffed with spicy paneer and cheese stuffing, and shallow fried until crispy. It will definitely be a hit with your kids!

What you will need:

Cheese50 grams
Chopped Coriander Leaves 2 tablespoons
Green Chilies (optional)1 finely chopped
Kashmiri Chili Powder1/4 teaspoon
Oil or Butter2 tablespoons
Paneer100 grams
Salta pinch
Turmeric 1/4 teaspoon

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Serving: 3

How to make it:

  • In a mixing bowl, add the paneer (grated), cheese, chopped coriander leaves, chopped green chilies, salt, turmeric, and chili powder. Mix well. This is your filling.
  • Take the sliced bread and cut the sides. Using a rolling pin, roll out the bread into a thin sheet.
  • Add the filling to one end of the bread. Tightly roll the bread to form a roll as shown in the image above. 
  • Seal the end with some water.
  • Heat a pan and add oil or butter to it.
  • Add the bread rolls to the pan. Reduce the flame to a slow simmer. Cover the rolls to let the filling cook for 1 minute. Open the cover and cook the rolls on a medium flame until all the sides are crispy.
  • Serve with a hot cup of chai.
