My resolution for my blog this year is to try and incorporate some healthy recipes. I love a cup of whey during my workout. However, sometimes it gets boring having the same of non-flavored whey. Well, then why not try the flavored ones, you ask? Because I do not like the lingering taste of artificial sweeteners in it. If you know me, I like pure ingredients with the least amount of artificial stuff in them. The whey I use has just one ingredient- whey! No fillers or emulsifiers for me. A mango milkshake is one of my favorite things to enjoy in the summertime. Hence, I decided to try making a protein shake with it and it is my cheat meal when I crave something sweet- or is it? 😉Â
What you will need:
Ingredients | Quantity |
---|---|
Cold Water | 1 1/2 cup |
Fresh Mango | 1 cup |
Whey Protein Powder (unflavored/vanilla) | 2 scoops |
How to make it:
- Wash and peel the mango. Cut into cubes, discarding the skin and seed.
- In a blender, add the whey protein powder, fresh mango, and water. Blend into a smoothie and enjoy! As simple as that! 🙂
