When it comes to parties, it is tough cooking everything on the same day. For me, the toughest part is getting something on the menu that kids will like. Yes, you can buy store-bought chicken nuggets or order a pizza, but where is the fun in that? I remember my dad used to make fish fingers a lot and they were very popular among us cousins. Since we lack good fish where I am, it just makes sense to make them with an alternate protein. Chicken fingers are the answer!

What you will need:

Ginger Garlic Paste3 tablespoons
Black Pepper Powder1 teaspoon
Salt3/4 tablespoon
Egg1
Breadcrumbs100 grams
Oil for Frying

Prep time: 60 minutes

Freeze time: 60 minutes

Cook time: 45 minutes

Servings: Makes 40 chicken fingers

How to make it:

  • In a mixing bowl, add ginger garlic paste, salt, and black pepper powder and mix well.
  • Add in the minced chicken and give it a good mix.
  • Make elongated 3-inch rolls with this mixture and set aside.
  • Tip: Wet your hands with water frequently to prevent the mince from sticking to your palms.
  • Once you have all the rolls made, beat an egg and keep them aside. On another plate, add the bread crumbs.
  • Now, dip the chicken fingers in the egg and then coat it with the bread crumbs.
  • Freeze these for at least an hour before frying. Tip: These are great to make a day or a few days ahead of time and freeze so that you can use them on the day of your party.
  • Heat oil and fry until golden brown on a medium heat. Tip: Do not thaw them.
  • Enjoy with family and friends!
