French Toast

French Toast

Though initially made to prevent stale bread from going to waste, the humble French toast has since found itself as the main star on many international breakfast menus. I usually hate breakfast, but when it comes to the French toast you can sign me up for a breakfast date whenever. When people would tell me that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, I would ignore them and gulp a cup of (forced) milk down my throat. In fact, I did not even eat French toast when it was freshly made for breakfast at home. I would instead wait anxiously for lunchtime when Mummy would tell me that she packed French toast in the tiffin. The gooey interior and taste of caramelized sugar were just heavenly! I am sure this simple recipe will be a hit among both kids and adults in your house.
