I am obsessed with making Indian flavored cakes. I invented this rose flavored base to go with most of my Indian dessert-inspired cakes. It also makes for a great tea time snack. Made with the simplest of ingredients, this aromatic cake is buttery, floral, and definitely will satisfy your sweet cravings.

Cake Flour | 500 grams |
Eggs | 8 |
Rose Essence | 1 1/2 teaspoon |

How to make it:
- Preheat the oven to 325 F.
- Make sure the butter and eggs are at room temperature.
- Grease a baking pan with some butter and dust it with flour. This will ensure that your cake does not stick.
- Cream the butter and sugar until soft and fluffy in a stand mixer or with a hand blender.
- Add in the eggs, one at a time, and beat until all of the sugar is dissolved.
- Sieve in the flour, salt, and baking powder together.
- Gently fold it in the wet ingredients.
- Pour the cake batter in the greased baking pan, once everything is mixed well.
- Bake in the oven until the center is almost done and a toothpick comes almost clean.
- Let it cool completely before cutting.
- You can enjoy this buttery, floral cake as is or use it as a base for other cakes.
