If you ever lived in a cold place, you will know the value of warm drinks. Hot chocolate is a drink that is loved by adults and children alike. It makes for a perfect drink for those cold winter nights, when everyone is snuggled in their blankets and sitting by the fire. Sunday, being national hot chocolate day, I decided to make this drink for Mayur who loves it. I used chocolate instead of cocoa powder in my recipe and spiced it up a little with some chili flakes.
What you will need:
Ingredients | Quantity |
---|---|
Chili Flakes | 1/5th teaspoon |
Chocolate Chips | 1/4thh cup |
Marshmallows (optional) | for topping |
Milk | 1 cup |
Total time: 15 minutes
Servings: 1
How to make it:
- Bring the milk to a boil.
- In the meantime, melt the chocolate in the microwave in increments of 15 seconds until melted and smooth. You can also use a double broiler if you do not wish to use the microwave.
- Add the melted chocolate to the milk, along with some chili flakes.
- Whisk everything well until smooth.
- Pour in a mug and top with chocolate shavings, chili flakes, or marshmallows.
- Enjoy with your loved ones.
