Fish Tikka Salad

fish tikka salad

My goal is to make this blog a little healthy this year. I am going to try to pen down some of my favorite protein-packed recipes for all those health nuts and for myself to refer back to. I recently invested in an air fryer and have been loving it so far. This is a simple recipe that I made today for lunch and Mayur loved it so much I had to pen it down. P.S. My husband dislikes anything that has “healthy” attached to it 🙁 It makes a perfect brunch meal.

What you will need:

IngredientsQuantity
Eggs6 soft/hard boiled
For the Salad:
Cherry Tomatoes100 grams
Cucumbers200 grams
Fresh Coriander1 tablespoon
Lemon Juice2 tablespoons
Pepper Powder1/4 teaspoon
Salt1/4 teaspoon
Spring Onion100 grams
For the Fish:
Chaat Masala1/3 teaspoon
Fish300 grams
Ginger Garlic Paste1 tablespoon
Kashmiri Chili Powder2 teaspoon
Salt 1/3 teaspoon
Turmeric1/4 teaspoon

Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes in the air fryer for the fish. 15 minutes for the eggs.
Total time: 25 minutes
Servings: 2

How to make it:

  • Take a bowl and add salt, ginger garlic paste, chaat masala, turmeric, and Kashmiri chili powder to it. (Please use the quantities mentioned under fish tikka). Mix everything well. This is your marinade.
  • Coat the fish fillets of your choice in this marinate. Place in an air fryer and cook per your air fryer instructions for fish. I used a ninja foodie and cooked my fish for 10 minutes at 390 F.
  • While the fish is cooking, keep a vessel with water to boil. Once the water begins to boil, add the eggs. Set a timer for 8-10 minutes, depending on how you like your eggs. Remove the eggs and add cold water. Peel them and set them aside.
  • While the eggs are boiling, you can start cutting the vegetables for the salad. I used cucumbers, tomatoes, coriander, and spring onions. Feel free to add any vegetables of your choice.
  • Make the salad dressing using pepper powder, salt, and lemon juice. Drizzle over the cut vegetables and your salad is ready.
  • The fish should have cooked by now. Transfer it to a bowl and shred it.
  • For plating, place the salad in the bottom. Top with the shredded fish. Add eggs to the side.
  • Enjoy a guilt-free and protein-packed meal!
