Kangaachi Kheer

Kangaachi Kheer is made popularly during fasts in Goa. It is made with sweet potato cooked in coconut milk. This simple dessert is satisfying. With Shravan around the corner, this might be the perfect dessert to replace your meal. 

What you will need:

Cardamom Powder 1/2 teaspoon
Fresh Coconut Milk400 ml
Jaggery50 grams
Rice Flour1 tablespoon
Salt1/3 teaspoon
Sweet Potato250 grams
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Servings: 4

How to make it:

  • Peel and cut the sweet potatoes.
  • Add the sweet potatoes, jaggery, and coconut milk to the pan. 
  • Let the mixer cook until the sweet potatoes cook. 
  • Add the cardamom powder and salt.
  • Add the rice flour and mix vigorously. The rice flour helps to thicken the kheer. 
  • Enjoy while warm!
